What is number binding?
A
Number binding provides a unique communication experience for users. With subscription of specific number binding plan, you can answer incoming call to your China Mobile number on Jego within the plan effective period while you are abroad. In addition, calling out by Jego allows you to show your China Mobile number, so your friends can recognize you**.

Remarks: *Numbers from China Mobile (Hong Kong) are not yet available for number binding services.
**Number binding service can be used outside Mainland China only.

If I have already purchased the Jego binding service plan and have chosen to transfer the incoming call via Jego Manager. If Jego is at online status, will I miss any incoming call?
A
No, you would not miss any call. The call will be directly transferred back to your original number if Jego is offline. You can continue to pick up the call through Jego app when Jego is online without further configuration.

What are the advantages of number binding?
A
Firstly, after purchasing the number binding service*, you can receive unlimited calls for free when traveling outside Mainland China. Secondly, your friends only need to remember your original mobile number (binded number) to call you at no extra cost for you and your friends. Moreover, you can use another mobile number to register number binding service and receive call on a different SIM card mobile device (Jego is installed and logged in with another mobile number), so you don’t need two mobile devices to receive calls from two mobile numbers.

Who are the target customers for number binding service?
A
At this moment, the number binding service is designed for China Mobile (Mainland China) customers who will travel and roam outside Mainland China.

How to purchase number binding service?
A
Right now, you can purchase number binding service from Jego official website, and then configure the number binding from Jego app “Settings – Jego Manager”. 

Q.
Is it required to purchase the number binding service with the mobile number of the SIM card you currently use on your mobile device?
A
No, there is no such limitation. For example, your current mobile device’s mobile number is 123456, and you bind another mobile number 888888 with Jego, then you can use one mobile phone device to receive incoming calls for two different numbers (cellular call and Jego call).

I am a Hong Kong "1-Card-Multi-Number" user, my main number is a HK number, and the secondary number is a CMCC mainland number. Can I bind the secondary number with Jego?
A
Jego does not support binding with secondary number at this moment. We are striving to make this available to meet your need.

Q.
Do I need to enable international roaming services to use number binding service?
A
Yes, China Mobile (Mainland China) customers must enable international roaming services in order to use the number binding service. Exception: Customer stays overseas and his CMCC number is switched off in Mainland China.

Q.
Is there any difference in the purchase procedure for the binding plan if the binded number is different from the registered number?
A
You are required to complete the verification process at the same time when you are purchasing the binding plan. You are required to input the binded number and click "send SMS". A verification code SMS will be sent to the binded number* and customer then inputs the verification code to complete the verification.

*Please make sure that you have enabled international roaming services to receive the verification code SMS overseas.

Can a single China Mobile number be binded at two different Jego accounts at the same time?
A
No. Once the number binding plan for a number had been purchased in different Jego account, the number binding plan for the same number using on the original Jego account will be suspended immediately.

Q.
I have activated number binding service overseas and travelled to Mainland China. Why I cannot receive incoming call to my CMCC number on Jego anymore after leaving Mainland China?
A
Though customer has already activated number binding service overseas, the service is not available in Mainland China. You need to activate number binding service again in Jego app "Settings – Jego Manager" after leaving Mainland China.

What is number rental service?
A
Customer can login to “My Account” page to purchase number rental services (including 5805 HK online number and 147 China Mobile number). Once Jego number rental services have been purchased, customer can receive call in Jego app with the rental number during the valid period (free / unlimited). Also, the rental number will be displayed as caller ID for all outgoing call in Jego app.  Also, receiving SMS via the rented 147 China Mobile number is now available for free for China Number Rental services users. Customers are able to receive SMS sent to the rented China Mobile number via Jego.

Can I rent a China Mobile number and HK online number at the same time?
A
No, you can only rent one number at the same time.

Q.
Can I rent a HK online number and bind my own China Mobile (Mainland China) number at the same time?
A
No, you cannot bind China Mobile (Mainland China) number after successfully renting a HK online number. 

Q.
When I rent a China Mobile number, what kind of documents I need to submit?
A
You should submit Personal Identification information*, and also need to upload the photo which you held your own personal identification information ( in high resolution) **

Remarks: *Personal Identities means China Resident ID Card and the passports for non-China applicants;

**If there’s any missing information, customer will be requested to re-submit the required information or even the application of  China Mobile rental number will be rejected directly.

What is VIP number?
A
VIP numbers are rental numbers with the following number patterns. AAAA, ABCD, AABB, ABCDABCD, ABBB, and AAAB.

How can I apply for Jego VIP number?
A
Currently, VIP number is not available yet. If you are interested, please contact Jego customer service and leave your contact details. We will notify you as soon as the service is available.

Q.
Can I receive SMS via binded number?
A

Yes. Receiving SMS via number binding service is now available for free*. Customers are able to receive SMS when connecting to Wi-Fi/3G/4G networks. Received SMS will be displayed on "Message" tab in Jego app.

*Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China.


Q.
If Jego goes offline, can I still receive SMS?
A

If Jego goes offline, Jego server can store SMS received within 30 minutes, subsequent SMS will be delivered to your default messenger. That means, you will receive stored SMS via Jego if Jego is online again.

* Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China.

Can I send SMS through Jego?
A
No, unfortunately sending SMS is not available at the moment.

Q.
Can I receive SMS via default messenger?
A

After activated the binding service, you can only receive SMS via Jego*. However, you can always deactivate the service by removing "√"in Jego Manager in order to receive SMS via default messenger**

* Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China and currently receiving SMS service is a testing launch. If you have any problem regarding to this service, please contact us as soon as possible.

**Once the service is deactivated,both SMS and calls made to your binded number will be received by default messager.


Q.
What action should be taken if SMS cannot be received neither on Jego nor default messenger?
A
If SMS cannot be received neither on Jego nor default messenger, please login Jego web portal and change the binding status to "OFF" in the web page "My Account – My Credits & Plans – Active Plans – Bind a China Mobile Number". Calls and SMS will be received via default messenger once the setting has been completed.
