Is there any difference in the purchase procedure for the binding plan if the binded number is different from the registered number?
A

You are required to complete the verification process at the same time when you are purchasing the binding plan.
You are required to input the binded number and click "send SMS". A verification code SMS will be sent to the binded number* and customer then inputs the verification code to complete the verification.


Q.
Can a single China Mobile number be binded at two different Jego accounts at the same time?
A

No. Once the number binding plan for a number had been purchased in different Jego account, the number binding plan for the same number using on the original Jego account will be suspended immediately.


Q.
Can I receive SMS via binded number?
A

Yes. Receiving SMS via number binding service is now available for free*. Customers are able to receive SMS when connecting to Wi-Fi/3G/4G networks. Received SMS will be displayed on "Message" tab in Jego app.

*Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China.


Q.
If Jego goes offline, can I still receive SMS?
A

If Jego goes offline, Jego server can store SMS received within 30 minutes, subsequent SMS will be delivered to your default messenger. That means, you will receive stored SMS via Jego if Jego is online again.

* Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China.

Can I send SMS through Jego?
A
No, unfortunately sending SMS is not available at the moment.

Q.
Can I receive SMS via default messenger?
A

After activated the binding service, you can only receive SMS via Jego*. However, you can always deactivate the service by removing “√”in Jego Manager in order to receive SMS via default messenger**

* Customers cannot receive call and SMS for the binded number in Mainland China.

**Once the service is deactivated, both SMS and calls made to your binded number will be received by default messager.


Q.
What action should be taken if SMS cannot be received neither on Jego nor default messenger?
A
If SMS cannot be received neither on Jego nor default messenger, please login Jego web portal and change the binding status to "OFF" in the web page "My Account – My Credits & Plans – Active Plans – Bind a China Mobile Number". Calls and SMS will be received via default messenger once the setting has been completed.

What is Jego voucher?
A
Jego voucher is the code used to redeem Jego Credits during the promotion period (non-periodic) for selected customers/markets.

How can I redeem Jego voucher?
A
You  can login Jego Account in Jego web portal,  and go to “ My Account –  Redeem Voucher” to input the specific Jego voucher number and then click “ Submit” to complete the procedure.

Or you can go to “ Setting – Redeem Voucher”  in Jego app to input the specific Jego voucher number and then click “ Submit” to complete the procedure .

What is number rental service?
A
Customer can login to “My Account” page to purchase number rental services (including 5805 HK online number and 147 China Mobile number). Once Jego number rental services have been purchased, customer can make / receive call in Jego app with the rental number during the valid period (free / unlimited). Also, the rental number will be displayed as caller ID for all outgoing call in Jego app.  Also, receiving SMS via the rented 147 China Mobile number is now available for free for China Number Rental services users. Customers are able to receive SMS sent to the rented China Mobile number via Jego.

Can I rent a China Mobile number and HK online number at the same time?
A
No, you can only rent one number at the same time. 

Q.
Can I rent a HK online number and bind my own China Mobile (China) number at the same time?
A
No, you cannot bind China Mobile (Mainland China) number after successfully renting a HK online number. 

Q.
When I rent a China Mobile number, what kind of documents I need to submit?
A
You should submit Personal Identification information*, and also need to upload the photo which you held your own personal identification information ( in high resolution) **

Remarks: *Personal Identities means China Resident ID Card and the passports for non-China applicants;

**If there’s any missing information, customer will be requested to re-submit the required information or even the application of China Mobile rental number will be rejected directly.

What is VIP number?
A
VIP numbers are rental numbers with the following number patterns.

AAAA, ABCD, AABB, ABCDABCD, ABBB, and AAAB.

How can I apply for Jego VIP number?
A
Currently, VIP number is not available yet. If you are interested, please contact Jego customer service and leave your contact details. We will notify you as soon as the service is available.

Q.
What is the benefit of saving credit card in Jego web portal?
A
Saving your credit card information during purchase can save you the time to input your credit card information in every future purchase. If you want to enable “Auto-Renew”, you have to save your credit card information during purchase.

Q.
How to delete my saved credit card information in Jego web portal?
A
You can login to “My Account”  page and then go to “ My Account – Buy Jego Credits – Payment –  Your saved card number”  and click “ Delete” ( near to the credit card number)  to delete your saved credit card information. 

Q.
How to change my credit card information in Jego web portal?
A
If you need to change the saved credit card information, you can choose to input the new information (after changed) and choose “Save My Card Information”; or if you want to save another credit card, please enter the new card information and choose “Save My Card Information” at the same time.  Once purchase completed, the old card information will be replaced by the new card information immediately. 

Q.
Why I cannot change the currency of my saved credit card?
A
This is because when you save the credit card information, the system saves the transaction currency at the same time. If you want to change the currency, please use the same card (in another currency) to purchase again, then choose “Save My Card Information”, then the currency of saved credit card will be changed accordingly.

Why the new Jego services plans come with different calling minutes?
A
In order to provide a more flexible service to Jego customers, Jego introduces Jego service plans with different calling minutes and customers can choose the plans which suit their needs.

Q.
How to calculate the validity period for free Jego voice/video call services?
A
Once you have recharged Jego credits or purchased any Jego plan, the validity period will be extended for 1 more year starting from the day of last recharge/purchase made.

** Jego currently offers 1-month free trial of "Jego Call" and "Video Call" between Jego users to new registrations. After the free trial period, you have to purchase token or any Jego service via credit card/CMHK account in order to make "Jego Call" and "Video Call". Otherwise you can only receive "Jego Call" and "Video Call" from other Jego users. (Service details is subject to promotion alteration)


Q.
Can I purchase different combination of one specified plan ( i.e. purchase China plan with 400 minutes and China plan with 120 minutes at the same time )?
A
No. You cannot purchase different combination of one specified plan. For example, China plan with 400 minute and China Plan with 120 minutes cannot be allowed in one Jego Account whereas China plan with 120 minutes and HK plan with 120 minutes can be allowed. Also, you can purchase a China Plan with 120 minutes with any other non-China number rental plan.
